Looks like record labels are starting to get the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude. Getting creative and start making some more money. Interesting article...

What do you guys think? What will this mean for us? It certainly looks like the tide is starting to turn in our favor.

This is good news. I purchased several hundred $$$ or DRM music from buy.com. It played fine in Windows Media Player 10, but my new notebook has Vista and Windows Media Player 11. None of my music will play in V11, even if I go through the trouble of trying to re-download the music.

I'm buying from eMusic.com now, and will be glad to get more major label music through Amazon. I am more than glad to pay artists for the music I enjoy, but I don't want to buy it every time I upgrade my player software.
