B&H has the 70-200mm IS for $1499. That's $200 off the regular price. If you're going to get it, this may be the time to do so.
They also have the Canon 17-55mm EF-S for $874.95.

I noticed B&H also has a bunch of Canon instant rebates on lenses -- seems like a good time to invest in some prime glass as those seem to be the ones on sale right now.

Weird...the link you provide shows $1499 but if you go through the normal way it is $1599. Is that a special sale site?
Bummer, 4 months ago I paid $1649 + tax...

Just bought it! Thank you SO much for telling me about the sale . . . this was such a huge coincidence because I was planning on buying it sometime soon and I wouldn't have known about the sale! Thanks again - great catch!

Grumble grumble grumble....I had to order mine on Sunday to get it here in time for the wedding I shoot tomorrow. So I paid $100 more.
But I made it up & then some on yesterday's BigFolio deal, so I guess I can't truly complain!

The link for the 17-55mm is:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4956...1205&BI=923Hope this helps!
And I have no idea why the prices would be different when you go directly to the site. Strange.

B&H hides their sales. They don't like you to know about them. If you do a search for the PSMAY sale it worked one day and then the next day it just said thanks for asking please enter the sale code. Each is different for each item on sale. I think it's kind of crappy to offer sales to only some customers and not all of them.

I was going to order the 70-200L, 16-35L & Speedlite today...but I couldnt get BH to take my card at all. I even called my bank, but then it wouldn't let me go through Paypal either so I went over to Adorama...and well...
I ended up saving like $20.00 which is funny since the 70-200 was $100 more, but the 16-35 was like $120 less.
Weird.

Adorama just shoots straight and offers it with a separate rebate

Ok, I am a little confused. I am looking to make a large purchase from B & H that includes this lens. How do I find other deals? How did you, Rich, create a link that leads to this price as opposed to the price that I find when I search on B & H? I am ordering this lens now since it is on sale. How do I find these special sales that aren't available through the search?

"Rachel,
I found the link of a website I check about every day to see if there are any deals around the internet. The site is "Passwird.com". If you look at Thursdays deals, you'll see what I saw. But I did go directly on the B&H website this morning and it is showing the $100 rebate now.
I would strongly suggest getting the 70-200mm IS. It WILL become your favorite lens very quickly. Enjoy! smile.gif
