I'm thinking of hiring a designer to create a new logo. I'm looking for someone that does fun and exciting work (nothing traditional and boring) and, of course, on a budget. I'm also open for trade if there's someone in Nor California that needs some photog. work.

I can refer my designer, but I'm afraid he's not a budget worker. However, I still think you should look into him because investing in your brand is priceless. Attached is the duo combination of my logo. I'll use the "j*" just as a branding, and the full name for website and production type things.

The previous logo's look great. Definately worth checking into. I noticed that you put this in the "Opportunities and Giving" category, but I agree with Jasmine. Look at it more as "marketing". Find a way to come up with the money to hire a pro, don't just settle for what you can trade for. Your brand is worth it, it will payoff.

Her name is Kira Lang at fantasiagraphicdesign@yahoo.ca . She is very good and easy to work with. Young and fresh ideas, I think. She cost only $89 and gives unlimited revisions until she and you both are happy, which is not common. It is so hard to figure it out what direction to take especially when you don't have a name like Jasmine Star, What a Cool Name!! I just received a couple more revisions just a couple of minutes ago from my designer for review. Please all that read, give me your input. I have a wedding side that I am just now trying to get into and a portrait side that I have not been in long. I was thinking that I want it to look high end, untraditional, fun, classy, edgy, and on and on all wrapped up in one. I have a very tall order! Be sure to check out RedoorLA. They did our logo, becker's [b], as well as the Shootsac logo.

Tim and Erik aren't cheap for sure, but they're top notch guys. You're brand is definetly a worthy investment if you're in this for the long haul.
