I'm just wondering how you send correspondance to brides over the internet. I live in a rural area, and so I take in a fairly wide area of brides, so I try to send them as much info over the internet, so that when we meet to go over things, we're both fairly confident that they will book me. I've just been responding to their email with sort of a basic email with my packages and offerings, but I'd kind of like to spice it up a bit. I'm just wondering how you send information to your brides over the internet to make things look all nice and fancy. Is there a type of software, do you just design something as a word document and then send it as an attachment? Any help you could offer would be great,
Thanks,
Heather

I don't send much of anything via email since most of my info is on my website. I only answer questions or ask questions via email. smile.gif

Same here. I get most of my enquiries via email--at least as a first point of contact--and I answer their questions, send them contract and price list PDFs if required, and that's about it!

Still, I'm interested to know if anyone else has something more than this that works for them.

You could make up spiffy postcards in PS (with photo background) w/ all your pricing info on it, sized for web. OR you could just ask for their snail mail address & send out a printed info packet.

I have a couple extra detailed pricing pdfs I send out, but the big thing I do, and I learned it from JT, is to drop your images everywhere! In my pdfs, there are images all over the place, and in emails, I've created pre-made signatures in Outlook (I think JT said he uses mac mail for this) the have a great image header, with 4 or 5 pics from a wedding and then a standar response that I can customize. I have a whole bunch of these different signatures so that each time they email me they see a different set of images. A great hint is if someone found you via referral from a friend, let your first email to them be with a header of their friend's wedding.

I've gotten a great response since I started doing this. I think it makes a huge difference in the presentation of your work and a great impression on your clients/inquiries. smile.gif

Something like this might also work.

i have a template email i use that has a pdf of my pretty price list, a little greeting from me, and a reminder to check out my blog. then i add in any personal comments/answer questions. its a big time saver for me since most of my inquiries are via email. most of my clients book based just off this.

In Outlook, at the top navigation bar select "Tools" then "Options" then the tab "Mail Format". Towards the bottom right, click the button "Signatures" which will open a window titled "Create Signature", click the "New" button, in text box 1. enter the name you want to call this signature (for example, you could use work1, work2, home1, etc.) then for option 2. you can choose to create your signature from a blank which will open a window you can type in (and select font type and size using the option buttons) or you can use a template (there are some online at www.microsoft.com/office if you search for signature template - they also have this detailed video tutorial about how to create fancy signatures http://office.microsoft.com/training/train...=CR100654581033).

Have fun!
