Ok so I am noticing a trend with my wedding albums that my clients are ruining the designs! Argh.
Now I already know some of you are going to say thing about making the client happy blah blah blah. But my clients are not the expert/professional and tend to look at it as a scrabook. They want to cram as many pictures as possible in and/or fill up all my negative space.
I, on the other hand, am spending 30-40 hours per book designing beautiful albums only to have the ruined. Today I spent the day actually crying because of how I was having to change an album to make a client happy. It looks cheap, cluttered and not at all how it should.
My clients hire me because they like my style and then ignore it.
I need to change the email I send when their album proofs are online. But I suck at wording so I need help. I need it to explain that the album design is up to the ARTIST (me) and that I am happy to consider resonable photo swaps but I have the right to refuse if the image/s don't fit the flow, purpose, style of the page. I want them to love the album but I want it to be BEAUTIFUL artistically too.
HELP!
