Full Version: New Album Company

Hi everyone,

i guess i have found my new album company.
I don t want to mention names at the moment because i don t want anyone to judge by the name.

I ll attach three images of a 6x6 Album (i guess 14x16 is the max. they do).

The images in the album are not injekt or offset printed, but real photographic paper.

The images are 6x12 so each spread is one photo without a gap in the middle.

As you can see, the pages are unflexible (can t find a better word) but not to thick.
The book lies open on a table and is really flat. It was quiet difficult to take the photo with the page spread apart.

The pages can be mate, glossy or even metalic.

The cover is complely custom designed (front, back + middle part)

Can you tell me how much a book like this would be with your current album company?
(Cover and price per spread (1 spread = 2 pages))
I expect the new pricelist this days and im am more than willing to share it with you after my holiday (7 days off :-)).

Looking forward to your replies
Juergen

Ok... lets put the name Albumfactory or Albummaker in as a name.
Does this make it any better?

People judge by names. e.G. if this company would be Graphi, i would get a lot of feedback about a lack of quality, missed schedules and so on.

Right now i wait for the new pricelist of the company and by the time i get it i want to know if they are more on the expensive side or more in the cheap corner.

I really don t want to offend anyone with this post.
I have had a meeting with one of the salesreps from the company and hold some of the work in my hand. I was impressed and i considere them to be my suplier for albums.

Here in germany we do not have many companies to choose from.
Graphi is well known here and i don t hear any bad expirience storys from german users.
Ordering from the USA is a nice option at the actual exchange rate, but nothing i can rely on.

Cheers

The problem with photographic paper is that it will discolor or crack on the fold line. I see it has thick pages. Does the pages not curl if you move it to a humid area ?
swan
Why do the pages stick up when you lay the book flat?
