Ok, so in about 3 weeks we start BUSY season - 2 weddings some weekends, 4-6 portraits a week. No time for much else. lol

Anyways, I was just talking BrideFreak ( http://www.bridefreak.com ) to some photogs in the last week and thought "wow I do a very crappy job of telling people about it" because I don't want to come off spammy. At any rate, this is the LAST week to get a BrideFreak installation done until at least November. If you want BrideFreak, scrounge the $95 and lemme know. Regular pricing will apply after June 1 to everyone ($145).

So- last week of the OSP deal, last week I'm doing these for at least 6 months. I know a bunch of people have them now and maybe they'll chime in (Lisa, Jillian, Scott, Leann?) Whether you use it just for yourself as I believe all of them are or use it for brides too like we do, you should test it out before the end of next week.

Sorry for the spam, but I thought some people would like to know. smile.gif

I LOVE the BrideFreak.

In fact, I'm going to use it for my portrait sessions too!

I just use it for me, not to allow the client to track my progress, but I think once I get in the groove I may possibly convert to allowing the client to view it as well!

Two thumbs & a big toe up for BrideFreak!

I couldn't have made a better decision to get bridefreak going-
I too just use it for myself-to keep track of my own tasks-
but it is all there-every single task involved with every single wedding-

I sleep easy knowing that I'm not gonna wake up going "oh s*it" i forgot to do such and such. I enter it and there it stays till I mark it as a "5" and it disappears from my list-

Each morning I open it up and see what I need to get done-

<cool guy>Matt was great to work with too</cool guy>

the part I love about it is that after the $95 -you're done-
no monthly fees-

I admit I am a bit of an "organizationalfreak"
and it is perfect for that-

get it while it is cheap and installed and up and running for you-

Thanks for the reminder. I don't have the money right now, or else I'd go for it.

I just wanted to chime in and say that you aren't capable of spamming us. The definition of spam is something that is unwanted and likely ugly or useless from someone you don't know and don't trust.

With more than 4,000 posts on this forum, the majority of which are helpful, or supportive or constructive, I seriously don't think ANYBODY would consider anything you'd post to be spam, Matt. And if they did, then they're the one with the problem.

Next time you have a bridefreak announcement (or any other cool new idea you want to tell us about) please PLEASE post about it here.
MattA
WOW! smile.gif Thanks Jules! I'll try to remember that. I like reading what people have - good or bad - for ideas and products but I don't wanna be 'that guy' so ... I definitely appreciate the post! AND

I can't believe I'm over 4000 posts!! laugh.gif

So is this installed on my server then and I can easily update it my self or do I have to have you do it for me?
MattA
You update it yourself once I've installed it. smile.gif Basically I put the program on your site, give you the link, and you put tasks in - stuff you need to do sorted by what type, like customer service, webstuff, album design, etc.

I have to agree with the others. BrideFreak has been a great resource for me. Easy to update and well worth it.

Matt's the man. smile.gif

Hey Matt...so I checked out BrideFreak the other day. While I am not a wedding photographer (yet rolleyes.gif ) I think that it would be useful to manage all of the projects that I have - both photography related and not. Is it pretty customizable? I mean could I applying to other projects as well? It seems like it might be a great project management system for a project that I will be managing from another state...hmmm yltype.gif Can you have more that one administrator who can update the task list?

I hope it is okay for me to ask all of these questions of you here...if not I will PM you.

You're so techno savy Matt! Thanks for sharing your great work with all of us! clap.gif

Hi Jennifer!

Yes, it's very customizable. I can setup a list of up to I think 9 contexts (basically "groups" of tasks) and it's pretty simple for me to do that for you. You can have more than one administrator, you can have people who only see some jobs but not all, etc. There are a lot of levels of management/administration and user stuff. It's pretty good as an overall management tool which is how we were using it before we started showing clients (which is going well so far btw!)

Actually, you can set up more than 9 contexts. Just edit the appropriate OPTION file and add away.
MattA
yeah I'm sure it's *possible* but they give me templates for 5 or 9 options. I'd have to create one for more than 9 otherwise the contexts would all be grey as well.
