Yesterday a potential client said they were interested in a Kambara album with etched metal cover. When I checked out their website I really wasn't impressed, but that doesn't mean the albums aren't great. Has anyone used them? Are they DIY albums or what? Good/bad experience?
Also interested in pricing info for them if you've got it.

hey Ryan,
we checked them out at WPPI, and they were actually our TOP pick for flushmount albums (and if you were there, you know how many options there were). After being totally overwhelmed with all of the flushmount companies out there, we were really bored with everything we had seen... until we went to their booth. Their newest styles are AWESOME, and really beautiful and good quality. Their website certainly sucks, though, so don't judge by that. They are a bit on the spendier side, but with the quality I saw, I feel like it's worth it for most of our clients.
PM if you'd like more details...

Thanks for the reply, Lori. The potential client who was interested was looking at a traditional style album, which aren't that expensive (at least that's what she told me) but apparently they're slip-in or come with a kit to mount the photos yourself. Frankly, I'm not interested in that. As for the flush-mounts, I'm content with LC, so for now I'll forget about Kambara.

I used Kambara for one of my matted albums. It was a really beautiful album but assembling it was a huge pain in the butt. As much as I liked how the finished product came out, with the time it took to put it together this is not an album I'm likely to ever order again.

We have been using kambara for many years now. I am impressed with all the new stuff as well. Call them and ask for Marta. She rocks. tell her we sent you
their customer service is as good if not better than leather craftsmen, who are known to be the best.
