Going from 3 children to 5, with 3 being 2 and under...here are a few things I have learned.

#1 Sleep must be earned
#2 Nap time is a gift from God (IF you can get ALL small children sleeping at the same time)
#3 Potty training two two year olds is NOT twice as hard it is stinking NOT POSSIBLE
#4 When they yell poopy it is NOT an emergency (just means they want to pee in the big potty) BUT when they hold up a hand and cry YUCKY it IS an emergency (they have it all over their hands, walls, whatever they can find)
#5 Silence or quiet is a BAD sign
#6 It IS possible to change an arching, wiggly, poopy baby while fighting off two two year olds from trying to help
#7 Laundry increases dramatically, not sure we have a floor in our bedroom any more
#8 Tantrums can be had by multiple children at once, regardless of location, and NO ducktap can be used
#9 Meals with toddlers consist of ONLY finger foods, regardless of the dish
#10 Start pondering reasons why we started this parenting nonsence. smile.gif
#11 Diaper usage doesn't tripple, it quadruples!
#12 Clothing is always optional, ESPECIALLY in public
#13 Plumbers look is not reserved for plumbers or adults, toddlers also look very stylish with it

*sigh* Growing can be a painful process, not just for kids but very much for parents...but I wouldn't change it for a moment.

Grace and Peace,

I hear ya! I think my home will forever smell of spit up, formula and dirty diapers. No one else can smell it, oh, but I CAN. smile.gif

Yeah, we thought life w/ 3 was nuts...my wife has a friend who has 7 under 8. They adopted their first...then had triplets, a single, and then twins. (Oh, and the husband was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months right after the twins were born.)

So we always have them to think of when we have issues like # 4 from your list.

BIG hugs to ya! smile.gif

I can totally relate! We have 5 right now, all of which are under the age of 7 yrs. and #6 is coming in at least 2 weeks! w00t.gif

But I wouldn't trade them for anything. Kids Rock!
Try to rest when you can, laugh when they throw their tantrums, and kiss all their sweet heads while they sleep.

God Bless!
