I've been using Lumapix Fotofusion for my designs lately and am getting pretty frustrated with what seems like software quirks. It hangs up and needs to be restarted, which is bothersome enough, but the Help documents and Support don't really address questions I often have.

What I want to know is if it is NOT possible to move a text box (with text, of course) to the Back (using the Send To Back option)? I played around last night for what must have been an hour trying to place text behind an image and it would not allow me.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It has a lot of bugs. It seems to work pretty well for basic things, but others - like PSD export - are a problem.

When you first create a text box, it is attached to a specific frame (or the canvas). If you cut and paste it, you should be able to move it after that (as long as it's on the appropriate layer).

Thanks for the info, John. I tried what you suggested, and a few other things, but it does not seem possible to do what I want, which is simply to place text behind an image instead of the text overlapping the image.

I cannot understand why this would not be possible. But no matter how I try, the text stays on top.

YAY!! After countless hours I finally figured it out! For some reason, when text is placed on a page in a Text Box (created from the Tools Menu), that Text Box cannot be moved behind other elements on the page (like an image). It’s odd, and I don’t know why that is. BUT, to do what I’ve been trying to do, you have to create a frame (similar to the ones we create to add background lines using the Borders function), move that to the back, then add the text. It will now appear behind images, or any other element.

If you choose Add Text to Canvas, the Text box will be on the Text Layer, which is above everything else.
