I don't think you need the textures though either.

Try for a more soft glowy light (glamour style)

Really, reach out there and explore, show tools of the trade, in the truck, by the pole, wrapped in the hose, cooking with an apron on (they cook a lot) I could see a back nude view in a apron with just the butt cheeks visible but that is probably a little much. Push it though, even if you just use those kind of shots for yourself or to sell to the guys and their wives. Could even do like a male boudoir, I'm sure the woman in their life would love it. It shouldn't be all that much extra work, or time, and you get two projects instead of one.

Looking good though, keep it up, and explore, have fun, and explore some more.

I know I'm a guy, but I had to chime in, cause you had some beautiful work here! Particularly love the composition in the first one! I would lose the smiles for the "sexy" look though....

No my idea is to have Josh, and a few other people on the dept with washboard stomachs with no shirt on and their bunker pants on some of the guys have both straps on their arms and maybe one with one strap on them one strap off washing the truck and put water or baby oil on their chest. Let them wash the trucks.....

I really like what Frank has to say about showing the tools of the trade. Get PJ with these guys and show what they do around the station. I'm not so sure about the bare butt cheeks, since you do want moms to hang the calendar in the house but the fun candid stuff.

Maybe that's not what you wanted for the calendar but it's a thought.

My theory on this is that I have at least a dozen different fireman portraits to make, I don't wanna exhaust all the cliches right away.

I'm certianly gonna do some of the shoots in and around the fire house/truck and suchly; I just wanna make sure that I can come up with 12-15 distinctly different looks.

Eddie, sorry, not gonna bite!! We've had plenty of photos posted in here of ladies without their tops on. Most, if not all the boudoir shots, are of women. Ok, maybe it's not full topless nudity but I've never seen one of us complain about the beauty of the female body and the way it's been tastefully captured by the photographer!

As for Carrie's first volunteer... I love his smile coz his whole face lights up, especially in number 2. He's so damn cute but so damn young! I feel like I'm cradle-snatching just viewing the pics!! Carrie, when I think of firemen, I think rough around the edges. This guy is too squeaky clean & not enough ARRRRRRRRRRRR to him! Great shots though
