OpenSourcePhoto > GetIt > Brilliant Bridge and Lightroom Presets

Ok, this may be a stupid question....

I got bridge today and used the brilliant setting for the first time today! I am very excited!

However I noticed, when I opened the folder on the hard drive the files have not changed.

So, what do I upload to Pictage? There is no "save" option in bridge....

What do I do now?

Help

and

Thanks!!

Hi Paul!

Bridge deals with RAW files and saves all changes in little sidecar files (.xmp). So, in order to do anything with the files at all, you need to save them as jpegs. smile.gif

To save them as jpegs I usually open them in camera raw (select all, right click, open in camera raw) and then in camera raw select all again, go down to the bottom right corner and choose the save button.

This will export the files as jpeg. I'd suggest then running a photoshop action to save them all at quality 10 before uploading to pictage. smile.gif

Thanks! I'll try that!

What about a wedding that I already shot in jpeg?

How would I save those?

Or do I need to do those in my old work flow?

bridge won't process jpeg files. you can open and look at them, but it won't change them in any way. (lightroom would do both)

pictage requires jpegs, so you could upload as-is, but i'd suggest putting them through your old workflow or getting lightroom. smile.gif
