I recently purchased Blu's new jinky template:
http://www.bludomain.com/35

This link goes to the splash page, but if you click "enter site" you can see the main page. I think I'm going to stick with the same colors as the portfolio button colors.

I want to showcase pics that are fun, colors that are fun...I want to attract fun brides.

So...I would love to change my logo colors to something more fun and vibrant. I tried playing around with it myself, but I'm just no good at matching colors. The petals have two or three colors. I guess I would like something bright - red, orange, green, aqua.

Is anyone up for playing around with it and seeing what you can do?

ericvon
sure...you want to post your current logo up...i'll take a crack at it. or you can email it to me.

One way to go is to start with colors from your favorite images.

But "fun" is not in any more - pretentious is.

I really like #1 in Jonathan's list! Our new colors are almost exactly #2 and I like #3 as well. smile.gif Great color choices.

But you do have to pick images that match - in feel and in color. Right now, most of your images match your subdued color scheme.

The sites that have been drawing lots of photographer attention have lots of brightly colored elements and backgrounds in images (sometimes a product of lots of overprocessing). I rarely get chance to do anything like that (other than sea and sky and trees). There's no interesting urban center around here - and people who hire me want PJ work and don't want to wander around in 90 degree weather looking for shooting locations. Of course, now everybody wants a site like Jesh de Rox's - all subdued colors and grunge effects (grunge romanticism).

Thanks so much Jonathan! I'll put those on my new site to test it out and see how they look! smile.gif

John - you are right - but I have new pics that I am posting up on my new site. I don't want to go too crazy bold with color - but I mainly want to emphasize fun. And I think color is more fun.
