The problem with this contest is it shows how pathetic my "still under construction" SIS is and I just need to start from scratch again! mad.gif

But seriously, I love how they have raised the bar with their awesome sites. It really helps me hone in on how I want to architect mine!

Mine still says under construction and it always will be, since I change it easily with SIS

Where is Sarah-Q.com?

That's what I want to know!! I immediately thought of her first, and went through the list about 10 times looking for her, and then realized she wasn't listed!

I was selected. I feel honored. The voting system is a little screwy though. I didn't even get to vote and it said I already voted. weird.

Interesting list of sites, most I have seen before, some I have not. The one thing I took away was that there were only a few that really stood out as great sites. Most of them, to me, looked like what someone's photos do the day after they buy the TRA actions. Every thing in SIS is used, even when it doesn't really need to be. Everything grows or shrinks, there's movement all over, etc. On some sites, it is done very effectively and looks great and it all meshes. On others, nothing is coherent, or it was done just because it COULD be done, not because it SHOULD.

I think we see this with actions. Some photogs use actions very effectively, and it enhances the photos. Others slap on an action to an image that should not have received that particular action, thinking it instantly makes their photo better.

I think with ShowitSites, as well as things like video on the new 5D, that those who use it effectively will shoot to the top. ShowItSites are developing a very distinctive "look" them, and I think the key for a successful website is maybe NOT looking obvious.

Someone on here mentioned they were "surprised" that a certain website was done with SIS... That's success right there!

Ditto. I didn't even know my site was in the running. I'm honored, because there's some amazing sites on this list. Well done, everyone!

I wish I could vote, though. It says I already voted, but I didn't. 17.gif
